Proofreading

Proofreading occurs after a document has already been edited and formatted, and after any design elements have been more or less finalized. It is the "final catch" stage for text and formatting errors.

English-language Proofreading services include the following:

  • Checking for adherence to formatting and design requirements (as per the appropriate style guide);

  • Checking for internal consistency of design elements (including typography, formatting, and layout);

  • Checking for any minor mechanical errors in copy (such as spelling mistakes and small deviations from the style sheet).
